POST TREATMENT

You will be advised to sleep ‘slightly’ upright for the first night and avoid touching your face as we don’t want to spread the Botox to other areas. You may experience slight swelling, bruising or redness, which can be camouflaged with make up and will dissipate after a few days. In most cases it takes personally one week before the final resorts are visible, the results typically last 3 to 4 months. If you want your Botox to last longer schedule, frequent intense, hydrating facials as hydration makes your Botox last longer.

After a detailed facial assessment, the facial filler is gently injected with a fine needle into the targeted areas. Our office uses Juvederm, Restylane, and Versa, containing Hyaluronic Acid (HA); Radiesse with Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA); and Sculptra made with Polylactic Acid (PLLA) as facial fillers.

Ideal Candidates

The best candidates for injectable treatments are men or women who have facial lines and wrinkles they would like to correct. It may also be beneficial if you have age-related volume loss or naturally thin lips or cheeks.

What To Expect - After care tips

Do not rub or apply firm pressure (no facials!) to the injected areas for 24 hours following treatment unless directed to do so.
Avoid activities that involve lying face down, such as physiotherapy treatment or massages.
Avoid exercise and strenuous activity for the first 24 hours after facial filler injection.
The injections start taking effect immediately, with the full result of treatment occurring between 2-4 weeks post injection.
Swelling is expected after facial filler injections. The degree of swelling varies from person to person, depending on their sensitivity, the product, and the area treated.
Occasional bruising of the skin at the injection point may occur. This may last a few days, and can be camouflaged with makeup.
No suntanning for 2 weeks post injection. This can morph the shape of the filler. If you are out in the sun, you need to reapply sunblock SPF 30+ every 2 hours
Avoid thermal trauma such as hot showers, whirlpools, steam rooms, saunas, etc. for 2 days following treatment.
Do not take any anti-inflammatory or blood thinning medications for 1 week following treatment. This includes Aspirin, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Advil, and Antihistamine Medications.
